In his hunt for a goalkeeper, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa should make a move for Fulham stopper Marcus Bettinelli during the January transfer window.
What’s the situation?
Leeds have had a fantastic start to life under Marcelo Bielsa and currently sit second in the Championship after 21 games, behind only Norwich in the table.
However, the Whites will need to at least add a new goalkeeper to their squad in the winter window, after loanee Jamal Blackman broke his leg in a recent U23 game against Birmingham and returned to Chelsea for treatment.
This has left Bielsa with just 20-year-old academy ace William Huffer as back up to the already young number one Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The Argentine boss then should look to the Premier League for a goalkeeper, especially considering that promotion is certainly the goal for Leeds this season.

One Prem stopper who could be convinced to drop down to the Championship is Fulham’s Marcus Bettinelli. The 26-year-old has lost his place in the side to summer signing Sergio Rico in recent weeks, and he may look to leave in January to find some first-team action.

Having come through Fulham’s academy, Bettinelli was influential in turning the West London side’s season around during the last campaign as they stormed to promotion via the playoffs.
He was also recently called up to the England senior side by Gareth Southgate, so there is little doubt that he would be a fantastic signing for Bielsa, even if it was initially a loan deal with a view to making it permanent in the summer.
So, Leeds fans, would you like to see the club target Bettinelli in January? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
