Arsenal announced that youngster Stephy Mavididi had joined Juventus on Friday.
What’s the word?
Most of the focus this summer has been on the incomings recruited by new manager Unai Emery.
The Spaniard recruited right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defender Sokratis and midfielders Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
Now that the window has closed, the Gunners cannot bring in any more fresh faces, but some of their members can be poached, as has been the case with Mavididi.
The 20-year-old travelled to Turin on Thursday to undergo a medical, with the move being finalised on Friday.
The Gunners brought in the Derby-born striker in 2016 and since then the youngster has had loan spells at Charlton Athletic and Preston North End.
Will Arsenal regret this?
Mavididi has not been given much of a chance at first-team level, but he has impressed in the youth ranks.
In 39 outings in Premier League 2, the young forward scored 19 goals and created four assists.
The youngster has shown that he has the potential to be a top star, but it appears that Arsenal will not reap the rewards.

The transfer is a bizarre one from the club’s point of view as they are missing out on a player that could have been a big part of their future.
It is unknown whether Arsenal fought for Mavididi to stay, but there is no denying that his departure is a blow and is not a good sign for their future if their young talents would rather be elsewhere.
