Aston Villa have been one of the busiest teams in world football when it’s come to transfer activity this summer.
No fewer than ten new arrivals have walked through the door, the latest of which were Trezeguet and Douglas Luiz who were announced in consecutive days of each other this week.
However, there could be an 11th arrival after Sky Sports confirmed Villa had agreed an £11m fee with Club Brugge to bring Marvelous Nakamba to the club.
A holding midfielder by trade, he was linked with the Villans initially in June.

If you focus on statistics then Nakamba looks like he could be a fantastic addition for the club.
After letting Mile Jedinak and Glenn Whelan leave, Villa were always going to need replacements in defensive midfield.
And landing a player who made a colossal 4.4 successful tackles in the Champions League last term bodes particularly well.
But that doesn’t hide from the fact that based on latest developments, Villa could be on the verge of making their first mistake of the window.
It’s hard to scrutinise much of their business this summer. They’ve kept the core of their squad together, brought in players who were previously on loan and added players they can develop.
At 25, Nakamba is another who fits that development category but his mentality is something that arguably, you don’t want or need.

Just a few weeks ago it appeared as though Brugge weren’t open to selling which meant the Zimbabwe international skipped training as he went on strike in order to force through a move.
It could be seen as a positive that he was so keen to join the Villans but his attitude and commitment can clearly be called into question.
After all, if a potential move was on the cards down the line after a couple of good seasons in the Midlands, who’s to say he won’t kick up the same sort of fuss?
Signing Nakamba is certainly a gamble. Whether it’s worth taking, only time will tell.
