U.S. international Josh Sargent provided a moment of quality for struggling Norwich Friday afternoon, smashing home from close range off a corner to draw Norwich level with Portsmouth. It was his 15th strike of the Championship season, and took him to 20 goal contributions for the first time in his career.

Sargent's strike wasn't enough on the day, though, as Norwich were rather outclassed by at home, losing 5-2 to see their playoff hopes fall apart for good. It might matter little for Sargent, though, who could be in line for a summer move after scoring 11 goals in 2025 alone.

The forward appears to be in line to start when Norwich take on Millwall on Monday. He will also hope that his recent form puts him in contention to start for Mauricio Pochettino in the U.S.'s duo of friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland in early June.
